About Us

From the
shop
to the table.

A family story that began among the flour sacks of Palermo and lives on today at a table in the historic centre.

We haven't invented anything new.
We've simply given a modern home
to what we've always done.

The Origins

The school
of the shop

Our story doesn't begin in a kitchen, but among the flour sacks and wooden counters of the old neighbourhood shops. That's where our grandfather learned the noblest of trades: the art of choosing.

Picking the best loose pasta, recognising the scent of real bread, finding excellence where others saw only goods. That school had no diplomas: it had smells, weights, and trust earned one customer at a time.

The Heart

Via Sampolo,
Palermo

Our bond with Palermo grew stronger in Via Sampolo. That shop, which many still remember fondly, wasn't just a business: our whole family was there.

Our grandparents worked side by side with their children, our parents, passing on not only the secrets of the trade but the value of hospitality and respect for the customer. We grew up watching the dedication of a family that proudly served its city.

The Present

The legacy
of Vossìa

Today, that legacy lives on in our dishes. Peppone chose to bring that shopkeeper's know-how into the restaurant world with Vossìa.

We haven't invented anything new, we've simply given a modern home to what we've always done: choosing the best ingredients and treating them with the love you owe a family guest.

From the shop to the table.
This is our story.

One story,
two tables

The shop became a kitchen in Palermo, and then moved to the seafront. Two different places, the same choices behind them.

Vossìa Cucina Mediterranea

In Via Venezia the shop's craft found a kitchen. Shelves of Sicilian wines, wooden tables, the neon sign glowing onto the street: what grandpa chose at the counter arrives here at the table.

It's our everyday home, open for lunch and dinner: traditional cooking — baccalà a sfincione, meat mains — and island wines chosen one by one.

Vossìa Ammare

In Isola delle Femmine the same choices moved to the water's edge. The sand begins where the terrace ends and the island sits straight ahead: you can see the sea from your table without getting up.

Open from morning until late at night: the catch of the day, fried seafood, a chilled white, and the string lights over the terrace as the daylight fades.

Our Values

What we
believe in

01
Selection

Every ingredient is chosen the way our grandfather chose it: with his nose, his hands and decades of experience. No compromise on ingredients.

02
Hospitality

Every guest is one of the family. Respect and care for those who choose us were in Vossìa's DNA even before it was born.

03
Living tradition

We don't keep tradition under glass: we bring it to life every day, renewing the form without ever betraying its Sicilian soul.
